Olivia Rose is a North London photographer who uses her skills from her Fashion Photography degree to capture portrait photos that she mostly captured on film. She describes her work as "masculinity reinterpreted via the female gaze." She likes to break stereotypes and and break the way men are represented in the media and role reverse the sexuality in photography and modelling.

A) This photo mixes the idea of a Portrait shot with fashion photography. However, i believe that it fits better into the fashion photography category. 

B) The purpose of this photo is to advertise the Billionaire Boys Club clothing line and help increase sales. It is also trying to bring streetwear out of the city urban environments and break that stereotype.

C) The foreground being focused while blurring the background helps us as the audience naturally be drawn towards our character, but more importantly the brand logo. This is also helped by the contrasting colours, our black jumper stands out against the environment in the background, and the white of the logo boldly pops out of the image. 

D) I think Olivia Rose wanted to give an idea of environment in this photo, and I think the meaning and message she is making is that streetwear is now such a big phase that it shouldn't be stereotyped to city locations, and Rose challenges this stereotype with her natural location.

A) This photo fits into the portrait photographic category.

B) The purpose of this photo is to "advertise" John Boyega. As an up and coming actor, getting his face and name into the world in such a powerful way is great for finding jobs. Also, it can be used as a potential headshot / portfolio based item for applications.

C) By framing John's head directly in the middle of the screen, as well as having him look directly at the camera an extremely powerful photo is created. This direct eye contact and lighting brightening his face comparing to the dark jacket feels intimidating, but in a powerful sense rather than a fear.

D) I think the meaning of this photo is that John Boyega is powerful, up and coming and should not be tested. The power in his face and the glare he possesses shows a passion for his work that shouldn't be underestimated.

A) Although this is for a fashion shoot, i believe this photo fits more so into the Documentary photographic category. 

B) The purpose of this photo is to advertise the Billionaire boys club clothing line to a social group that wouldn't necessarily be considered to purchase or wear the clothing.

C) In this particular photograph, i believe the setting as well as outfit styling has been carefully selected to create an impactful picture. By having our model sat on a moped wearing worn down trousers and work shoes next to his young son, we gain a strong feeling of working class grouping. I think however it is more of a documentation of our model, suggesting his upbringing that he has come from this background.

D) I think the subtle idea that he was once this child living this life with his father compared to the now gold chain branded clothing suggests a strong message from the photo and the brand Billionaire Boys Club. Rose and Boys Club are working together to cleverly paint the idea that anyone from any background can become a success, even from something considered 'strange' in this working class environment like modeling or clothing.
